Who we are
This website belongs to PH Decking (Philip Hayes), a composite decking business in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. PH Decking decides how the details you send here are used. Questions or requests: sales@phdecking.ie or 087 322 1216.
What we collect and why
- Your enquiry or quote request: name, phone, email, town or county, the deck size and options you chose, and any message. We use it to send you your quote, reply to you and arrange a site visit. You tick a box to agree to this before you send it.
- Garden photos you upload to the photo price tool: these are sent once to an AI service (Claude by Anthropic, through our host Netlify) to suggest a deck size and point out things to check on the visit. If you ask for your written quote, your photos and what the tool noted are printed on its second page, so Philip can see what it looked at. The tool keeps the photos and its result for one hour at most so your quote can be made from them, then deletes them.
- Your written quote (PDF): kept on our host so the download link in your email and WhatsApp message keeps working, and linked from PH Decking's lead list. A photo quote includes your photos.
- Which ad brought you here: if you came from one of our ads, the campaign and ad names in the link are noted with your enquiry, so we know which ads work. Your browser remembers that link for 60 days in its local storage; nothing is sent until you send an enquiry.
We do not sell your details, and we only use them about your deck.
Who helps us
These services process your details for us, only to run this website and reply to you:

Some of these companies are based outside the EU. Where your details leave the EU, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those companies offer under EU law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
The website works without any cookies. With your permission, we use the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which sets cookies so we can see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to the site and lead to an enquiry. It only loads after you press Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the home page.
Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, so the banner does not keep coming back.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your deck. If the job goes ahead, we keep what the law requires us to keep for our business records. Quote PDFs are kept so the link keeps working. Ask us and we will delete your details and your quote, unless we must keep them by law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them, to limit how we use them, or to get a copy to take elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Email sales@phdecking.ie and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
